Who is the exam for?

The exam is right for you if you:

  • have studied the language on your own, at school, at university or at another language school;
  • use a foreign language at work or in everyday life and want to certify your knowledge;
  • want to add proof of your language level to your professional portfolio;
  • need a certificate for an employer or organisation that accepts this type of document.

You do not need to enrol on a course with us to take the exam.

How does the exam work?

The exam takes place entirely online and lasts 60 minutes in total. It tests the four core language skills:

Reading comprehension

How well you understand the main ideas and specific information in a written text.

Listening comprehension

How well you understand spoken language.

Writing

Whether you can express your thoughts in writing clearly and coherently.

Speaking

How you communicate orally and express ideas in the language.

The tasks assess your skills against the requirements of the relevant level of the Common European Framework of Reference.

What does the price include?

The fee for candidates who are not Omega Language School students is €95. The price includes:

  • the 60-minute online exam;
  • assessment of reading, listening, writing and speaking;
  • evaluation of your performance;
  • a digital certificate if you pass the exam.

If you are already one of our students, contact our team about the terms that apply to your course.

What does the certificate confirm?

The certificate is issued by Omega Language School and confirms the language level you demonstrated in the exam.

The Common European Framework of Reference describes foreign language knowledge and skills in six main levels — A1, A2, B1, B2, C1 and C2. It gives a shared reference point for what a person can understand and express in a language.

You receive the document in digital format, so it is easy to keep and to send.

How long is the certificate valid?

The certificate has no expiry date — it is valid for life and never needs renewing.

It confirms the knowledge you demonstrated on the date of the exam. If you need it for a specific job, school or procedure, check in advance whether the receiving organisation accepts this type of certificate and whether it requires a recent assessment.
